Don't know if you mean that as a good or bad thing... Well, Payable is the only album I still listen by them, mostly because it is different...

I'm not sure about this, maybe in the first releases. RATM wasn't even considered nu metal as far as I remember... And they were very famous with the general public, touring with korn, system of a down and such...
