I've got to agree with that viewpoint. What you said about Corgan's voice being 'Love it or Hate it' is almost what brings it down for me. I love the Pumpkins music, the instruments, the arrangements and lyrics, but do find that I hate Corgan's voice which brings the music down for me. If he had a more boring, middle of the road voice I'd probably prefer it.

I stick by my opinion on Kiedis within the Chilli Peppers. Again, I'm not saying that he can't sing or write lyrics, but he's backed by what I'd say was the best contemporary rhythm section around, when he's definitely not the best singer or lyricist around. What I mean is that I wouldn't go out and buy an Anthony Kiedis solo acoustic album.
