Honestly, I know alot of REM fans don't like Up, but I always find it to be a beautiful etheral trip of an album. From Murmur to New Adventures, it's all good to excellent material but I've never cared for Life's Rich Pageant or GREEN. Reckoning would be the other REM album I know inside and out. Pop masterpiece.
