Did you know that Anthrax actually started out as an Anvil covers band, not sure if you know that bit of metal trivia. Also I've often seen drummer Robb Reiner regarded as one of the best drummers in metal (or at least in speed metal) Anvil despite going downhill, had some stellar metal albums back in the early 1980s and really set the stage for bands like Metallica.

His lyrics are awful. I can forgive this in Sepultura because the music was actually interesting. While Soulfly and now Cavelera Conspiracy just prove he is still writing to cater to angsty teenagers. His lyrics are just so juvenile and stupid.

I will always love him in Sepultura... but I just wish he could write something that doesn't feel like it is catering to the lowest of the low in metal.
Max went downhill sometime in his Soulfly days, when he had started calling himself the "Bob Marley of Metal" I thought the lyrics were decent back in his Sepultura days and at times really memorable, but I agree they're just cliched now and a lot of cutting and pasting from earlier material takes place. I hardly listen to anything post-Soulfly by him anymore.
