my name is samkaiye, i am a songwriter/poet from bournemouth england, this is my very first thread on this site. ENJOY !!

friends warned me at the beginning, i just laughed and turned a blind eye
now she has stolen my identity, and hung me out to dry.
things started off so magically, but soon things fell apart
now shes gone and all thats left, is a chain around my heart.

so i bleed alone in the dark of the night, to weak for combat
no strength left to fight,
shes cut me into little pieces, turned my life upside down
where once there stood a fighter, there now stands a clown !

she was my cleopatra, eva peron, my trojan horse,
she made me feel complete inside, and i'll miss her now ofcourse
but now shes gone its hard to take, it tears me up inside,
that she is now my enemy, when she once stood by my side.

looking out over the rooftops, heavy rain spiralling down,
the saddest of all tears they say, are that of a clown
i am the walking wounded that no-one else can see,
cos the cause of all my heartache, no longer belongs to me.

the fighter is slowly returning, to replace that sad old clown
the battle ground is clearing, the scars of life lay everywhere,
the deep wounds of open warfare, bleed much longer when you care !!

a song about an acrimoneous break up , and the fighting that takes place within such a relationship !!
