I started listening to Tame Impala in the summer of 2010. I think the first song I heard was this.

Tame Impala - Wander - YouTube

And after that I pretty much downloaded every song that I could find. I will never forget being in a car driving up through Donegal up to the Rory Gallagher festival on a sunny day listening to every one of their songs over and over again with scenery like this flying past the open windows of the car with fresh wind blowing onto my face. I felt like I had smoked 50 blunts.

Their music opened up something in me that I had never experienced before, it was my first ever musical/ personal revelation, if you will. Their music was relaxed, spacey and hit me in my chest.(thats the best way I can describe it) It seems pretty appropriate that their debut album was called "Innerspeaker". I started drawing and painting for the first time in my life to express what the music was doing for me.

Some songs had an eerie John Lennon feeling to them.

Tame Impala - It Is Not Meant To Be - YouTube

While others felt more heavy and like old school 70's psych rock.

Tame Impala - The Bold Arrow Of Time - YouTube

Tame Impala - Why Wont You Make Up Your Mind - YouTube
