Emailed my first post-college resume to a prospective employer today. Made sure to do it after work hours because I'm totally going to having a gun-jump celebration and I didn't want to interview today, should they call.
God, I hope they don't try to offer me a crap salary. Entry-level wages in this field is no less than 15 dollars an hour, and I have 6 years experience, but I really want to work at this place and it's a small company, so I'm not sure what they're willing to pay.
I have a tendency to sell myself short with employment, but I think I'll have enough savings to pay the bills for several months should I man up and attempt to become employed on my own terms.
All in all, though, I'm pretty excited. I'm eager to start earning a decent salary so I can start saving for a down-payment on a house, which is the main thing in my future. I already feel like I'm late to the game, being 31 and still living in an apartment, but I guess the time I took preparing for this was well spent.
We'll see.
