Well they were more known as a singles band than an albums band however Village Green Preservation Society is a work of genius , and has just been re released as a triple album with loads of extras on it.That should be the first thing you get.

Also try & get hold of The Kink Kontroversy , after those 2 you really only have to bother with the singles.
