Do you see now why I would call those bands "pseudo-indie NME tripe?" Almost all are signed to a major label or a subsidiary of a major label, almost all are written about by the NME, and almost all are bad.
Now Mr. Deleted, to hold this kind of opinion I expect you see music as a cultural, intellectual and philosophical phenomenon, rather than an audiological one. While I won't disagree that the bands you have listed as your favourites are also pretty good I have to say that there's something vaguely sinister to me about anybody who doesn't like any one band from The White Stripes, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Jet and The Coral. Seriously, I don't understand how anybody can dislike ALL of these bands.

What's going on? If you could explain in a way which involves talking about the music directly, rather than just referencing magazines, scenes and labels then I'd appreciate it greatly.
