Gad when you get to a certain age, nearly anything you listen to is apt to trigger a wave of nostalgic memory. I also have a nicely maintained used record store near my house that I visit pretty often and I'm always finding stuff I used to listen to that still sounds great and brings back lots of good feelings.
Lately...
10CC - Along with Supertramp, one of the great 70's pop bands.
Dream Syndicate - Lots of good memories of my own teen/alt/punk years triggered by listening to these guys again.
Black Uhuru - An old favorite and just a great band, especially those first two Island records.
And today I got the remastered
Eraserhead soundtrack. Can't wait to listen to it. Both the movie and this record had such a huge influence on me and are tied to many good memories. If it wasn't for David Lynch, I may have never discovered my love for Fats Waller. Ahhhh, memories....
