I would just go instrumental - There's a lot of great songs in all genres with no words that would go well with trying to attract anyone you want (either different or same sex).
There was a great reason why Disco was stong, and it was down to being a solid background to a night out and trying to get that Date, or at least Motel Night Fling. Who knows, maybe a little Gabber or some good Techno will do the trick now, maybe for the more adventurous or overnight party sort. Maybe Classical for those who want the night to go a little longer, oe possibly some Occult Ambient for those who like it Underground. Solid Stax Soul jams, good Instrumental Rock...the list of titles is pretty endless. My Dream B-Movie Date would possibly like some good Biker Movie music.
