It would make sense that he'd think formulaic music is the primo stuff 'cause
he seems to be hooked into the idea that mass-produced/-listened to music
must be the grand good thing that the good capitalists want us to believe is our Vitamin C -
the music that plays well within the "3 and 5 minutes in length" that he so cherishes.
"...radio and music television wouldn't be so full of 3-5 minute songs if that weren't the public's preference..."
I'm off to write my novel which, as everyone knows, will only be good if I keep it between 213 and 294 pages.
