SITN" is my favorite UFO album and in my top ten favorite albums list--
I recall reading a lot of scrutiny in the past about how this album, like so many
other live recordings, actually had a lot of repair/enhancement work in the studio,
with regard to the guitar solos.
I was just researching this topic again, and now some sources (i.e. Wikipedia, etc.)
are saying MS felt his solos on that album could have been better (!), but he was
disappointed when he was refused the opportunity to do so--apparently, according to
these other stories, the microphones that were recording the drums also picked up
some bleed-over of the guitars, so guitar overdubs couldn't be used without conflicting
with the guitar residue captured on the drum tracks.
Others have commented that they've seem him on subsequent tours playing those solos
and matching the solos from
SITN note-for-note.
