Well sorry, Gee, but your portentous, pretentious, tasteless, vaudevillian, overblown nonsense says nothing to me about my life), Primal Scream, The Rapture, The Gossip, Daft Punk, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains (mediocre metal band lucky enough to be from seattle during the grunge explosion) and, above all Rage Against The Machine (god, they suck)

Underrated: The Verve (criminally), Dredg (basically, Pink Floyd, but tuneful and with a real singer), The Jam (in America), Pavement (commercially), Dido (by critics), Dire Straits, Pulp (Blur, but good), Barenaked Ladies, Soundgarden, Joy Division, Outkast
That's quite a list. You really don't have a high opinion of a lot of bands. I think I should point out that a lot of the bands you listed in your underrated list wouldn't exist if it weren't for some of the bands in your overrated list (like Pink Floyd and Dredg). Soundgarden are still fairly popular to this day. Joy Division is kind of universally accepted as an amazing band to those who have heard them.

Oh, and while I agree that it's weird Blur was pitted against Oasis, it's because Oasis blows... Not the other way around. Blur was/is amazing.
