let's get back to Hendrix - i mean he was only recognised in the UK during his lifetime, and that was only on "par" with Clapton
in the US, he was somewhere between Santana and Jerry Garcia
only in retrospect people think he's high above all of them now
not to mention nobody ever said he basically invented shoegazer, jazz rock, funk rock and did the only soul-rock in existence - "Remember"
