Mormonism is crazy. Jesus visited America, the Native Americans are cursed Isrealites, the garden of Eden was in Missouri... But let's be honest, Mormon theology is only slightly less crazy than a lot of religions, it just has a more recent history. Without a religion, you probably won't be elected in this country. It's a sad state of affairs, but people want their leader's to have belief in a deity. Honestly, Obama's attitude toward his personal beliefs is far more indicative of a rational person than Romney's. Fact of the matter is, traditional Christian theology
is seen as less crazy, or not crazy at all, compared to mormon theology, yet Romney believes it and has apparently never officially questioned his own religion.

That said, I wouldn't let his Mormonism impede my vote if I thought he was the stronger candidate. It's just one aspect of his personality.
