i don't think Salo is that way at all....i mean there is some disturbing sh

) in there but it is a very artistic film with a strong message about society and power and the dark side of innate human nature....it really is by far one of my all time favorite movies although i rarely watch it
i can honestly say there is no movie like Martyrs....i seriously think it is that good
i'll add Inside to Jack's list....another disturbing french horror flick also any film by Russian director
Andrey Iskanov....specifically Visions of Suffering and Nails (Gvozdi)....he also made a five hour film called Philosophy of a Knife which i cannot lie was a bit much for me.....be he blends artistic quality and disturbing "never leave you" imagery perfectly
