I haven't seen either of those documentaries, I will now, though.

I think my passion for human trafficking comes from my background. My mom has fairly pounded information on the Civil War, slavery, and human rights into me... I mean, when I was little. Most parents don't do that, and I am forever grateful that she never shied away from hard truths and political stuff that is generally avoided by parents. When I found out that slavery continues to exist, I had the foundation I needed to understand how awful it really is.

I recommend the documentary Nefarious: Merchant of Souls. It's quite good, gets a lot of "behind the scenes" looks at the sex industry.
