It is a ligature of of "
I" and "
O" or is it "
1" and "
0" I thought it stood for "
In" and "
Out" like you push the button "
In" to turn on the computer and and you push it again and then it's "
Out" when you turn it off. I think it's most likely binary code "
1" means the circuit is close or the computer is on and "
0" means the circuit is open or the computer is off.
