Yeah I agree, Elzhi gets my vote too.
To me when comparing them his delivery makes Nas sound a bit slower/sluggish. I have been listening to the album to death on Spotify, and think I am gonna have to go out and buy it, although I did a search last week and can't find it available on cd only mp3 downloads which surprised me.
After listening to it loads I went back to the Nas original and you can definitely hear the backing music isn't identical, extremely close. Not that it matters. What did you think Goofle11?
What he did, by reinventing a classic should be applauded. It almost shouldn't have worked and would have been easy to say he wasn't upto the scratch of the original, but he did such a great job. A brave MC, nobody else over the years has done the same and attempted this, I wonder if this will become a trend, in 5 years time (or less) will we have people doing similar with Tupac/Biggie albums?
