Default Vote for a FAIR album before Oct 30

Every two weeks the Folk And International Roots Album Club votes for an album that they will listen to and discuss in the coming weeks.
Anyone can vote in this poll, but if you vote, please follow through and be ready to discuss whichever album wins the poll.

Sorry that this poll is appearing so late - I`ve had a busy week and some computer problems. But anyway, we still have until Sunday to vote here and stay on program. As half the nominations are from stp, he still has a special dispensation and is entitled to vote for his one of his own albums if he wants. Anyway, I hope you can all make a choice between these six musical gems :-

Greenhouse by Leo Kottke (1972)

OK, it`s been around a long time - in fact it`s been around since before Americana was a commonly used term - but this is still my favourite LK album. He covers a couple of Fahey compositions, but with this album it`s tempting to say that the student has outstripped the master; seven tracks of sparkling, unadorned acoustic guitar and four vocal tracks
^ Sorry Leo, but if no-one votes for you this week, you`ll be cast aside because this is your LAST CHANCE week.

Quite an interesting mix here exploring various world influences and experimental outings.

A modern evolution of northern African music traditions.

Keep in mind these are live field recordings so the quality's not great but the energy is pretty kicking.

Bit of Oud music this time from an Egyptian born musician who apparently played with The Grateful Dead at one stage.

Tempest by Bob Dylan (2012)

The latest album from a guy you may have heard of; Dylan once more uses folk-rock, Americana and blues to present his own unmistakable vision of things.
Officially released last month, this album includes Dylan`s take on a disaster that occurred in 1912, but refuses to be forgotten because of a movie: The Titanic

Kef by Aram Bajakian (2011)

Three musicians who can`t decide if they`re a traditional Armenian wedding band, a jazz combo or a rock power trio, so they just put it all together in one album. From what I`ve heard of this album, which I admit is only about half, this is noisier and less traditional than most FAIR club nominations, but it retains just enough roots to be included here I hope.
Thanks as always to everyone (which at the moment means stp) who makes the effort to share his enthusiasm for FAIR music here.

Now let`s get voting ....
