Menace Ruine - The Die Is Cast (2008)
This album was recommended to me a few months back but I've only got around to listening to it this week. This album has a fascinating style, it's drone doom with a twisted medieval folk vibe. They use heavily distorted synths instead of guitars, which lends an eerie and otherworldly sound, along with folky female vocals and various percussion. The best track on the album is the near 17-minute epic 'The Bosom Of The Earth' which is so good it feels like it should have been longer.
