I almost didn't want to post this because I listened to it and didn't enjoy it all that much. I figured bob. might come in here demanding blood, throwing all kinds of accusations and inquiries like why I bumped a thread to talk about albums we didn't find enjoyable.
Anyways I didn't like this album not because it didn't sound
EXACTLY like their under-appreciated 2007 album
Given to the Rising but because I just can't see where the band wants to go. This album is really unlike anything they've done, which doesn't automatically mark it down, but it does make me wonder if the band was fully ready to commit to their new sound and it seems like there's this weird compromise that really makes the album not go anywhere. I'm willing to give it another try, but my computer better dispense hookers with cocaine up their fannies or something, otherwise I won't be that impressed.
