hah, for me I've been using knitting to use up time, it's a good zen time water so it doesn't feel like effort to me.
Also, vegangelica: circular scarves are the greatest thing since sliced bread. if you get certain kinds of synthetic yarns, when used as a hood they make sure no moisture touches your hair. it's wonderful.
for me, the christmas knitting rush has begun, and it's scary! I've recently learned to knit with my left hand to purl faster. i am working on a drop-column lace hat for my mom. drop columns are my favourite because they're stupidly easy. you just drop a stitch and you get insta-lace after you remove the stitches with a crochet hook to get little ladder rungs.
