We'll make new recruits for that thread eventually. We just have to trick them into posting in it...and then provoke them enough that they keep posting in it!
This is really the first experience I've had with a death from an internet community. You always know it's possible with anybody to die suddenly but with online people you just don't think about them going. It's not like you always think of them as real people, I mean sometimes but not all the time. Maybe I'm just bad like that, but hey. I feel bad that I liked him so much yet never really got to know him that well. Never talked to him in private or anything...I don't know if he would have wanted to, though.
I still think he was a great guy.
I plan on throwing on some records tonight that he would have liked. The Hollies' Greatest Hits? Beefheart's Lick My Decals Off, Baby? That's what comes to mind.
