Number 1 I wasn't even DEBATING with you. I agreed with you. I said 'I SAW ANOTHER SITE THAT HAD A DEBATE GOING.' And it was for these three specific artists Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Led Zepplin with explinations as to why they were one-hit wonders.

Quotes from the debate/article:

JIMI HENDRIX

Decades after his death, “Purple Haze,” “Foxey Lady,” “Crosstown Traffic,” “Hey Joe” and a host of other songs still dominate classic- and album-rock airwaves.

But look it up: None of the above songs, not even the mighty “Purple Haze,” ever made the Billboard Top 40!

Jimi Hendrix’s only Top 40 hit was his dramatic rendition of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower,” which peaked at Number 20 in 1968.

According to the rules of the one-hit wonder game, this makes Jimi Hendrix a genuine one-hit wonder (even Vanilla Fudge, for example, managed a second Top 40 hit)!

JANIS JOPLIN

Here is another one-hit wonder by an artist you will swear had more chart hits. But “Me and Bobby” McGee” represents Janis Joplin’s only flirtation with the Billboard Top 40.

LED ZEPPLIN

The band have sold more than 300 million albums worldwide, including 111.5 million sales in the United States and they have had all of their original studio albums reach the U.S. Billboard Top 10, with six reaching the number one spot. Led Zeppelin are ranked #1 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. Rolling Stone magazine has described Led Zeppelin as "the heaviest band of all time" and "the biggest band of the 70s".

The band did not release the popular songs from their albums as singles in the US & UK, as they preferred to develop the concept of album-oriented rock.

Because of this fact they can be considered, rather erroneously, a one-hit wonder as Whole Lotta love is their only released single that broke the top ten.

I didn't imply ANYTHING...these are other's words from a different discussion. Maybe they are implying something? But I'm not.

I wasn't in a debate with you, I told you there were other discussions about it. And in fact I agreed with you. AND the last point was that I didn't care, the way we've been posting songs has been fun and I enjoy how the thread has been going and it's all cool with me. CARRY ON.

Congradulations you just had a debate with someone that presented information that agreed with you ad was never debating with you to begin with.

You wanted it, there ya go.

Anything else you want to agree on?

I think you were trying to be clever with your 'they only released one single in the UK' comment and confused yourself.

Its ok....did this clear it up for you?
