This was a highly anticipated release for me this year. I've really been into Why? these last few years, with Alopecia being probably the best album I discovered after the fact two years ago. Eskimo Snow was also really great even if more subtle.

The Sod in the Seed EP blew me away! The title track itself was good but I enjoyed the other 5 much more, and the whole thing had a great flow. Excellent winding vocals throughout.

Yet something was and is lacking in Mumps, Etc. I like it for the most part but there's something about it I can't quite put my finger on. It feels hollow, less solid than the past two. More generic in some way. Some of the songs are great and it's an enjoyable listen, there might be one or two songs I feel kind of "meh" about, but it's just an overall impression I can't quite pin down. I've given it a 3.5/5 elsewhere and will have a hard time here deciding between 3 and 4. Honestly it's probably closer to 4. It's just missing that little something.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
