Also personality wise as well, cause given Hendrix's upbringing I'd be willing to bet based off of just what I've read and seen that he was for the underdog in life. Despite whatever vices or other problems he may have had that stemmed from his upbringing as well. For him it was like the curse that was his cure but did the good out weigh what we deem the bad enough to label him respectable? Yeah...by a longshot imo.

Mhm, but would you say the same about Jim Morrison? I'm not intimately familiar with his childhood, but I know he went to film school at UCLA, which at least suggests he probably grew up in a stable household.
