Ask them if it's okay for you to listen to your music while they do the injection. I used to distract my sis (who also has a terror of needles) by talking to her about rubbish until she failed to even realise the needle was done. The key is to distract yourself, take your mind off it. It's all in the mind after all. I'm sure they won't mind; just explain how scared you are of needles and that you think it would help.
