From the 'doo-wop' winks to the hand clap crushes, Blondie's debut is an excellent look over the shoulder to great 50's era rock n roll while perfectly placed in its own nest - a punk setting sandwich somewhere between Richard Hell and Patti Smith. One of my favorite records...an absolute gem.
I think in contrast to
Parallel Lines,
Blondie is far better served listening to all at once as opposed to taking any of the tracks out of context.
