A different conversation triggered some thoughts on a topic I've been wanting to share my 2 cents on. Its no wonder why Christians catch such a bad rap and dont get me wrong I don't hate them. I'm also not so stupid as to think the entirety of Christianity can be judged on just a few instances. There are the truly devoted and truly genuine christians who give it their all to live by and practice what they preach. However it seems the majority just like the idea of it, and just hope to keep their own set of moral standards and beliefs. Hoping one day they will still enter the kindom of heaven cause no matter what they have done, thought, or lived and acted like during their time on earth they are saved cause they truly believe Jesus died on a cross for their sins. Man I'm sorry but BULL...EFFIN....****. I use to even believe in this crap till a couple years ago. The majority of these people are drinking, cussing, screwing around, gambling, along with countless other "sins" that the so called "lost" indulge in all the time. But because they are only human and prone to mistakes forgiveness shall truly come their way cause they have faith? How the hell did I ever buy into this mess is beyond me and I guess most my life I just never questioned it and was to young to see the corruptness and hypocrasy. I hear all the time hateful things come from these peoples mouths who are suppose to be reaching out in kindness to the "lost." When that school shooting happened in CT and afterwards there were some asking "where God was" during this time of tradgedy. Some of the responses I heard come out of the mouths of so called Christians was down right hateful and no different than the kind of attitude I hear from prisoners on lock raw shows. When Hurricane Sandy happened, how that was a result of being Godless and they should reap what they sow as if they brought it on themselves and everyone affected by the hurricane was a satanic paegan and deserved it? That the "Jersey Shore" lifestyle thats on T.V. sets the standard to what the whole area lives by? What the hell kind of ****ed up logic and way of thinking is this for a suppose to be caring, loving group of god fearing people? I know plenty of people who are much better people who aren't a part of any religion. Then the response to that is..."well being a good person wont get you into heaven...you have to be washed in the blood of Jesus" WTF? Is that a free pass to get to act however the hell you want but still get a get outta going to hell free card cause you believe that horse ****? Live by example and practice what you preach and maybe you wouldn't be losing a country that was founded upon your beliefs. Ever think of that? Stop posting about drinking massive amounts of alcohol and church on Sunday if you want to be taken seriously. Stop talking about who deserves death and eternal damnation cause from what I gathered "God" himself was the only one in a position to judge. And I don want to hear this crap about well thats him speaking through you. Again I dont mean to imply that Christianity as a whole is corrupt cause I have met some really really good Christian people who walked the walk. Then you see the lot who conduct themselves in a testy college frat boy sarcastic kind of manner. And thats being being put in a gentle way, and then wonder why so many people blame them or are so quick to call them out. Well your the ones who are judging everyone else so do you think thats not opening the door for you yourself to be judged by your actions twice as harsh? Of course they are no different from us and respond to most instances with harshness or just no logical response at all other than "god is good and he is my god" Lol. Yeah we know...very well played thought out. You give the face of your religion pimples and acne. Go back to beer, taunting, hateful, pretentious, hypocrasy and just point fingers at everyone else and cover up all your short comings. Cause you know what.."your washed in the blood of Jesus" so its all good. I feel bad for the ones who actually give their religion their all and invest themselves into doing good works. I actually admire that even though I dont believe in God cause its a good way to be. The idea of religion is great but the reality of how it actually is, is pathetic. But hey who am I to judge...keep if it gives you piece of mind.
