i've always liked the drumming on "come together"... but that's just cuz it fits real nice. it's not challenging. i think if the beatles had a more imaginative drummer though, their music would have been different. i say that because you (blastingas) say they weren't that type of band. i merely say that bands are defined by there parameters, and starr is a massively limiting factor, IMO.

i'm not going to lie. ringo starr is probably one of my least favourite drummers, and if the beatles has somebody better, i would probably listen to their music for the sake of enjoyment rather than historical reference. not a big beatles fan.
