I was very surprised that Beasts of the Southern Wild got three major nominations. I thought it was a possibility that it would get a best picture nom and a best actress nom but best director over Bigelow and Affleck? Shocked really.

I'm really pulling for Phoenix and Seymour Hoffman because both of them just blew me away in The Master. I still need to see Amour and when I do, I know I'll be pulling for Heneke for best director. The dude deserves it.

Overall going to be a pretty boring ceremony besides a few awards. I always watch though.
