For me, I associate certain types of people based on what area of the country they live in. For example, the west coast (California, Washington, Oregon) is more liberal, than the east coast (Florida, Virginia, and others) are typically conservative. However, there's a lot of ways that could be different. That's the way i've always categorized it though, and sometimes it's not too far off.
