The album sounds as 21st century as anything else. It draws influences from psychedelic rock, prog and space rock, yes, but how does that automatically mean that it sounds like it's from the 60s? It's just a really good album with a lot of layers, so whether or not it's a re-hashing of 60s psychedelia has no impact.
If music sounds good, it sounds good.
