Celebrity Touch does have some great build up moments and closing track Deprived is damn epic but this is not the Riverside I fell in love with a few years ago. The production is uninspiring too.
They were due to play at a festival I attended last year in the Czech Republic but they cancelled due to working on the new album but the wait really wasn't worth it.
I do like the album but **** Pop orientated. The band were actually moving evermore away from their heavy Marillion sound on each release and I was welcoming it but this a very disappointing album in terms of evolution.

Fair enough Lee: I wasn't really expecting any 'evolution; per-se to begin with though, so maybe that's why I wasn't disappointed by S.O.N.G.S.
ADHD was a good record, but it wasn't exactly the pinnacle of originality either -- there are assloads of progressive metal bands out there after all who know how to lay down the ampage.
It really comes down to different strokes for different folks, but as long as
Mariusz Duda continues singing and writing, then Riverside will always sound like themselves as far as my two ears are concerned. I'm a tad puzzled by the
Marillion comparison though -- the bands sound nothing alike (past and present both). That is, unless Hogarth and co. suddenly got a whole lot heavier and lugged in a Hammond organ I suppose....
