Maybe it's just because I was raised to listen to other people, but I honestly don't understand why some people will express their opinion, but won't take them. That's the only way I know how to learn anything, is by listening to other people talk about something that is different from what I know about. Isn't that what we're taught how to do in like...elementary school?
