Agreed that Antidotes is definitely more upbeat and lively. The songs are tighter and the album is definitely more consistent as a whole than Total Live Forever.
I feel the latter tried to accomplish too much, don't get me wrong there were some top tunes like Miami and Blue Blood, but there were also whiny lagging tracks like Spanish Sahara which was touted as 'endearing' by every indie douchebag out there.
Would like to see a more similar album to Antidotes but there was some undeniable quality on show in Total Life Forever.
