Its interesting, but I can only think that it'd be impossible to re-crown the "frets", and honestly, it doesn't sound so amazing I'd be willing to put up with the weird playing technique.
Also, the bridge isn't a compensated bridge, so the intonation is probably really really bad - and impossible to adjust.
