Maybe not now, but I think with a few more quality releases the Roots should be near the top of this list. I've held the Beastie Boys at the top because of the number of great albums they had, 5 out of 7, compared to the number of albums they released (5 out of 6 if you don't count the Mix Up). Compared the likes of Public Enemy with a couple of milestone achievements in a large discography or Company Flow with their one true, only release being their magnum opus and a legendary album; the Roots are building a large discography with a lot of quality behind it.

I've been listening to Undun lately and it's so much better than I remembered it being when I first heard it. I consider it now in the stratosphere with Phrenology and Things Fall Apart, along with very solid releases in the rest of their discography with the potholes being their first two releases and average releases with the Tipping Point and How I Got Over (which I probably should check out again now that I've found a new appreciation for Undun)

Basically, if the Roots hit another homerun with & Then You Shoot Your Cousin, I will have to rethink my position.
