I took a quick look at the website, which looks great by the way, but I couldn't figure out how the location plays out. Is it based off of the users sign-up location? (Certain mile radius of Zip Code, State, City?) There is also the obvious of the band or managers willingness to play at the venue, but the part where the website makes it easy, is guaranteeing that there is indeed a fan base where they are being asked to play. Adding a section for bands to sign up was a very smart move, as something like this could be ideal for lesser known or up and coming bands. To get more attention, you definitely need to spread this website all over the Internet. Music communities like last.fm, Reddit's Music subreddit etc. where it can potentially be free to get the word around.

Creating a Kickstarter, would be a great idea to raise awareness of the website, and raise money to buy adspace for places like Pandora, Allmusic, Spotify, music magazines, any place that has people who are already going out of there way to discuss, listen, or purchase music.

Wow, thanks for the great feedback!

I truly agree that it is something that needs to go viral somehow, if it should work.

I also agree regarding radiohead, however i think that for some of the greater bands and venues, it might be possible to arrange smaller, but more exclusive concerts for the greatest fans. I don't know, but maybe.

Would it be okay to use Kickstarter to raise money for advertisement?
Kickstarter is not available in Denmark, but i saw something like it called Indiegogo. I should definitely look more into that, but it somehow feels wrong to ask people to pay for advertisement.. but then again - the concept intends to give value back as a result of awareness, so maybe it is okay.

Actually i tried Reddit's music subreddit some hours ago. Got around 100 visits to the site, and then the activity faded away.. Probably because it's obvious that the site does not have many active users yet. Very few actually.

Thank you so much for your time!
