I think the mods must be privileged if one of the greatest trouble makers on this site today is Erica. As I've written several times, I appreciate Erica for being a unique member here, very smart and articulate and who dares to voice her concerns even when going against popular opinion. I wish this was the sort of community that would make a thread to celebrate these things about her rather than mock them.
The internet's already full enough of cynicism and people trying to be cool by putting down others as it is.

While this thread was never meant to be serious, nor did it anticipate the reaction it has gotten, I think the point behind it was a result of Erica not really contributing to anything anymore except defense of the "downtrodden, mod-stricken plebs". I understand her apparent love for playing that card, but the message here was that I thought it was funny that she only ever comes around to bash the mods.
I understand the validity behind avoiding creating a schism between her and others, but if we're going to insult the ability for members and mods alike to form their own opinions about her based on her own actions without needing to rely on whether there's a legit consensus or not, then I think that's just a way to ignore the fact that many people might already have such opinions and have only begun to realize that we're not going to strike them down for vocalizing them.
It might just be correlation, not causation.
And I hope the message here is not that we should be discouraging opinion, however I do see merit in toning down the deliberate highlighting of such a thing, and it is only in that way that I agree.
Had I anticipated that people would feel this thread is guilty of such a thing, I would have re-worded the title...
