I actually think that Elton's style has a very narrow window when talking about the style of his music. As a percentage I think out of 100 about 15% are made up of guys who sit and bang away at the piano........That is why when the really talented ones come along like Elton and Billy Joel you tend to take notice. He is a huge household name that spans decades in the music business. Personally I think Yellow Brick Road was his crowning moment.
