Maybe I'm off base, but saying that someone has a right to know about one partner's other partners sounds sort of like saying that the man has the right to know that the woman is going to get an abortion. Sure they might have a dog in the fight, but to expect someone to have to divulge such personal business as a matter of course sounds wrong to me.
