Man, this makes me sad. I didn't always agree with his reviews but I loved his writing and thought he was a fascinating guy. I actually saw him in person twice in my life: once at a movie in the park screening of
Some Like It Hot that he organized and spoke at, and once on a sidewalk in downtown Chicago when we walked right past each other as I was on my way to work.
The world of movies just won't be the same without him.
