Some of you may have heard this little piece of amazingness.
Rep. DeGette (D-CO) has this to say about the efficacy of banning high-capacity magazines:
Apparently she's heading up the ban in her state. Don't you think the person in charge of implementing such a solution should know the first freaking thing about how magazines work?
She thinks you can only use them once, therefore the 40 something million we currently have in circulation that would be grandfathered in will eventually be "used up".. wow. Just... wow.
I think there should be a new federal law that bans lawmakers from making any new laws until they have taken a class to learn about the things they're going to be restricting or allowing. We'd probably have far less ineffectual, ridiculous laws out there.
