16 Horsepower -
Secret South (2000)
For the longest time
Sackcloth 'n' Ashes (1996) was my favourite 16HP album, but as I've delved deeper into their discography, I'm finding a lot of little gems off of
Folklore and
Secret South. The latter of which has actually supplanted their debut as my favourite album. Out of all the covers of Johnny Cash's "Wayfaring Stranger" (there's a metric sh
it ton), I find the one on this album to be the best, plus their ending song "Strawfoot" really makes me want to pick up a guitar and transcribe it for that instrument.
