They're not universal. Be careful if you use other chargers because you can break the tiny pins in the plug and in the phone's socket, and then it won't charge at all. And they won't cover that under a warranty either because it would be something you did to it. I would only recommend using the charger that came with the phone. I didn't lose it, I did it because the Samsung charger has a long cord and the Nexus charger is dead short. They have exactly the same ports, but I won't be doing it again.
Worst post ever.
