But... 90s rap was often all about bitches, guns, and money. That was some of the best stuff in the late 80s/early 90s.

Agreed that this is a tired-ass discussion topic though, doomed to poor logic born from limited perspectives. There's a pretty large mix of the awful and the great in all 'schools' of hip-hop.
