Maybe I'm not 'artsy' enough, but Classical from the Post-Romantic era onwards as well as Jazz from the mid-1940's onwards just sound like discordant messes to me, and Rap pretty much lost whatever message it may have had right around 1985 or so, now it's just Repetitive Crap.
I'll listen to Taylor Swift before I'll listen to Anton Bruckner or 50 Cent'......
